Management Board

  • Marat Nevretdinov Vice President of the Board
    Marat NevretdinovResponsible for the development of the sales and products area and for setting new business directions since 2013. For the previous four years he has served as Managing Director at Genworth Financial in Poland specialising in payment insurance and mortgage insurance. He has been involved in the financial sector since 2004 where he started work at Fiat Bank Polska S.A. serving as Member of the Management Board responsible for sales and marketing. Then, in 2007 to 2008 he served as President of Fidis Leasing Polska Sp. z o.o. He is a graduate of MGIMO (Moscow State Institute of International Relations) and of a European MBA at Wyższa Szkoła Przedsiębiorczości i Zarządzania im. L. Koźmińskiego w Warszawie (Kozminski University).
     
  • Ewa Lipińska Vice President of the Board
    Ewa LipińskaVice President of the Board of Europa Non-Life and Europa Life since July 2011. From 2006 to 2011 she served as Member of the Board of AIG Bank Polska S.A. She has been involved with the financial sector since 1994 when she started her career at Powszechny Bank Kredytowy S.A. and was promoted to Treasury Department Director. Her next posts included management positions with Telekomunikacja Polska S.A. and Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A.
    She returned to banking in 2002 when she participated in the reorganisation of DZ Bank S.A. and later served as a member of the board of the bank. Her responsibilities included the areas of finance, treasury and financial institutions as well as private banking. She also served as Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of AmerBrokers Brokerage House between 2003 and 2006. She then worked as Director of the finance division at AIG Bank Polska S.A. where she was later appointed to the management board.

    She is a graduate of the Department of International Trade of SGPiS (currently Szkoła Główna Handlowa, Warsaw School of Economics) as well as of many specialist training programmes relating to finance and market risk management, banking assets and liabilities, derivative instruments and controlling.
     
  • Grzegorz Bors Vice President of the Board
    Grzegorz BorsVice President of Europa Life and Europa Non-life since March 2016 responsible for the sales area and customer relationships. He is a graduate of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences and also obtained a diploma from IMD Business School in Lausanne. He started his career in Unilever, managing marketing and sales area. In the years 2003-2014 he worked in T-Mobile Poland, where since 2010 he was a Member of the Board responsible for sales, channel management, strategy, marketing, customer service and product development.

  • Torsten Leue Chairman of the Supervisory Board

    Torsten Leue is a graduate of Management at the University of Berlin, where he earned the degree of Diplom-Kaufmann (Master of Business Administration).

    He started his professional career at Allianz SE, working as Deputy Regional Manager between 1993 and 1994. He was Regional Sales Manager there between 1995 and 1996, and Regional Manager CEE (headquartered in Munich), Member of the Supervisory Board of Allianz Group companies in the Czech Republic, Croatia, Bulgaria, Poland and Slovakia as well as Member of the Supervisory Board of UniCredit-ZaBa in Croatia from 1997 to 2003. During the period 2004 to 2010 he served as Chief Executive Officer and President of the Management Board of Allianz Slovakia, President of the Slovak Motor Office, Member of the Board of the German-Slovak Chamber of Commerce, President of the Slovak Insurance Association, Member of the Strategy Board CEA, Chief Executive Officer and President of the Board of Allianz Slovakia, Regional Deputy of the Chief Executive Officer CEE and CIS. He has been Chief Executive Officer at Talanx International AG and Member of the Executive Management Board of Talanx AG since September 2010.

  • Leszek Czarnecki Ph.D Vice President of the Supervisory Board

    Leszek Czarnecki is a graduate of the Wrocław University of Technology and holder of a Ph.D. in Economic Sciences awarded by the Wrocław University of Economics. He started his business life in 1986 establishing Przedsiębiorstwo Hydrotechniki i Inżynierii TAN S.A. He was the founder and main shareholder of Europejski Fundusz Leasingowy S.A. established in 1991: the first and largest leasing company in Poland. In 1998 he was among the top ten best Central European managers with "The Best CEO in Central Europe" title awarded by The Wall Street Journal. In addition and during the same year, he was among the contenders in the world finals of the "Young Business Achiever" competition in Beijing.

    In April 2004 The Financial Times named Leszek Czarnecki one of the twenty-five rising stars of European business which in the near future will be setting development directions for financial markets. He was the only Pole on this prestigious list.. In November 2004 he was among the four individuals awarded by INSEAD, one of the best business schools in Europe, and by the French Minister of Finance the "East European Entrepreneur of the Year" title. In September 2005 he received the prestigious Lesław A. Paga Award for his achievements and personal contribution to the development of the financial services market in Poland. He was awarded "Player of the Year" in the ranking organised by the Polish edition of the Forbes magazine in 2005, 2006 and 2007.

  • Michiaki Shirai Secretary of the Supervisory Board
    Mr. Shirai is a graduate of Economics at the Waseda University in Tokyo. He started his professional career with Meiji Life Insurance Company in 1990. In 2006 he held the position of Manager at International Department in research on the overseas insurance markets. From 2007 to 2012 he worked for Meiji Yasuda Europe Limited in London as a Company Secretary. From 2012 to 2014 he held the position of Manager in Credit Analysis & Investment Risk Management Group. Since April 2014 he has been a Member of the Supervisory Board at Talanx International AG.
  • Sven Fokkema Member of the Supervisory Board

    Sven Fokkema is a graduate of Interdisciplinary Studies – Management of international entities, at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.

    He started his professional career at Winterthur Group in Switzerland where between 1995 and 1999, as Assistant Vice President, he was responsible for the company’s development in Central and Eastern Europe. Then between 1999 and 2007 he served as Director at Winterthur Group & Credit Suisse Group in charge of company development and equity transactions. Between 2007 and 2009 he served as Financial Director and Senior Vice President at Aegon in Taiwan.

    From 2010 to 2011 he worked for National Suisse in Switzerland as a Business Advisor and then as Operations Director of the Speciality Lines & Foreign Countries business unit. Since November 2011 he has been with Germany’s Talanx International, first as Director for Europe and since April 2012 as Member of the Management Board.

  • Oliver Schmid Member of the Supervisory Board

    Oliver Schmid graduated in Economy at Manheim where he earned his degree of Diplom-Kaufmann.
    He started his professional career at Cologne Re, where between 1992 and 1998 he was in charge of accounting and controlling. From 1992 to 2004 he served as head of the Controlling Group at Cologne Re, and during the period 1998 to 2004 as head of the Controlling Group and Chief Risk Management Officer at Talanx AG.

    Since December 2010 he has been a Member of the Executive Board and Chief Finance Director at Talanx International AG.
